Brief Historical Review.
- But not only our grape was exported. Our Cooperative began to export, before no other Cooperative of the zone, fruits productions of the partners. Products like potatoes, melons and all type of fruits contributed to the good march of our Cooperative.
- In the decade of the 60s our Cooperative lived great changes. The progressive increase of the tourism (that was concentrated in center urban), the increase of the extension and the number of inhabitants and the frenetic activity maintained by the Cooperative Wine Cellar (that bothered so much to inhabitants as to the tourists for the passing uncontrolled of animals who carried the grape until the Wine Cellar) did necessary to take measures.
- In this situation the decision was made to transfer the picking of the grapes and their subsequent processing to a second site, previously constructed for this, outside the tourist zone.
- The second wine cellar ("Los Madroñales") took his first steps in 1964 with the purchase of 3 “half Aranzadas” that cost 50,000 pesetas each, being built in 1965 and endowed with the most advanced machines of that time.
- The capacity of the wine cellar has increased considerably. The Cooperative grinded almost all the “listán grape” that was in Chipiona, much muscatel, and elaborated more than 5,000 Barrels with the same process of elaboration was followed that before: fermentation in Barrels and Large Barrels etc…
